Start with the behavior below that matches what you see. Jellycat uses matching pairs and a body-based physics simulation, so a piece of artwork touching another image does not always mean the two game bodies have met.

Two jellies look close but do not merge

Check that they are the same form. Two Blueberry Clouds make Peach Blossom, and two Peach Blossoms make Moon Guardian. A Cloud and a Peach do not merge. The complete recipe list shows every valid pair.

Next, look at their main bodies. Crowns, ears, tails and the soft visual wobble extend beyond the circular bodies used for collisions. Two crowns touching, or a tail overlapping another cat, may leave the bodies apart. Wait for the pieces to settle and aim future matching pieces toward the body.

If two identical bodies clearly meet and remain separate, please report the problem. Include the two forms, your browser and device, and a screenshot or short recording of the contact. This helps distinguish a visual overlap from a merge that failed.

The game stops when the black-and-gold cat appears

That is the completion condition. Onyx Sovereign is the ninth and final form. Creating the first one stops the round and opens the victory screen. Choose Play again to start a new board; there is no further recipe after Onyx.

A tap does not release a piece

Press inside the bowl, move to aim, then release. A drop happens on release, not on the initial press. The game also has a 430 ms cooldown after each drop. An extra release during that short interval is ignored rather than saved for later.

Check for a pause, help, collection or end-of-round screen. Resume or close the relevant screen before dropping again. With a keyboard, focus the bowl, use the arrow keys to aim, and press Space or Enter to drop. Holding a drop key does not continuously release pieces.

The board is paused after I switch tabs

The game pauses when the browser tab goes into the background. Returning to the tab does not automatically restart the falling pieces; use Resume when you are ready. Opening the collection also freezes the board. Closing it restores the previous state, so a round that was already paused stays paused.

Help pauses an active round while you read it. If you switch away from the browser while Help is open, close Help and resume manually when you return.

Is there background music?

There is no background music in the current version. The sound control enables short game sound effects, such as the tone played when jellies merge. Sound starts off when the page loads. Choose Sound on to enable it; the control plays a brief sample.

If that sample is silent, check the device volume and whether the browser tab is muted. A quiet board between merges is expected: there is no continuous soundtrack.

My best score is missing or looks different

The current rules save a personal best in this browser on this website. Restarting a round clears the board and round score, but keeps that best. Clearing site data, changing browsers or moving to another device can leave you with a different or empty best score. Private browsing or restricted storage may also prevent it from being kept after the session.

A saved score from the earlier rules is shown separately as Previous rules best. It is not added to the current best because the merge path and scoring challenge changed. There is no account or server-side save that can restore deleted local scores.

The current board is not saved across a page reload. If you need to refresh while reporting a problem, capture the board first.
